Full Description:
Eight hundred consecutive patients who have undergone spine surgical procedures on their cervical or lumbar spine in a predetermined period of time will be enrolled in this study. The preoperative, and the 6 week, 6 month and 1 year postoperative ODI scores will be collected for each patient. The patients will be stratisfied according to the type of surgical procedure they underwent. The data will be plotted for the entire group as well as for each surgical procedure on a scatter plot. The range of ODI scores that is likely to show maximal improvement will be determined, and the range of ODI scores that are least likely to be associated with significant improvement will also be noted.
